About Me
I am an actor/director/theatre maker and children's book author originally from a small town in North Carolina, currently living in DC! I'm proud to announce that I graduated this past September with a BFA in Drama and a minor in Child & Adolescent Mental Health Studies from New York University where I studied at the Stella Adler Studio of Acting.
Above all else, I am interested in art's ability to foster empathy. I think performance can be used as a kind of a rehearsal space - for performers and audience members alike - to practice empathizing with those unlike ourselves. A foundation of compassion and true understanding sets the stage for great, necessary changes to come about in the world.
Now to prove I'm not just a theatre robot, I can also tell you that I love to bake and write poetry, my comfort movie is Dirty Dancing, and my bff is Lily (my labradoodle) who I post about on @its.lily.dog.
