I wanted to say a huge thanks to all the support, opportunities & encouragement this year. Highlights have included: a lovely time meeting people at Hebden Bridge Open Studios in the Summer. moving to a new studio space at The Egg Factory, Hebden Bridge I've really appreciated the opportunity to exhibit my work in The Piece Hall Gallery & to deliver a drawing workshop there (see previous post). I had a great opportunity last week to deliver a workshop at The Piece Hall in Halifax.  I currently have work in the Piece Hall Gallery as part of The Yorkshire Christmas Crackers Exhibition and it was a lovely opportunity for me to share some of my techniques. We met in the Gallery where I gave a brief talk about my work, then we moved to The Hive, a superb workshop space. I draw with a stick. Two sticks to be precise.

One is a large impressive stick, the other a small twig taped to a pencil. I've been using the same two sticks since I found them in 1999. Why? You may well ask. The truth is filtered through time but here's roughly the "Why?". During my final year of my Fine Art Degree I remember feeling conflicted & confused about what I was doing & why.
